Schwartz & Associates was formed in March of 2006. Autumn Schwartz opened the business after working in the public sector for over nine years. She felt her experience would best suit small businesses and individuals with bookkeeping and tax needs. At the end of 2008, after a long stint in the cotton industry, Autumn’s husband Josh joined Schwartz & Associates bringing experience in both computer technology and domestic/international business management.
In May of 2009, the business moved locations from downtown Austin to a familiar address at 116 S LBJ Dr in San Marcos, Texas. The same location that Jack and Theresa Schwartz operated their business from, for over 25 years.
Autumn
Autumn founded Schwartz & Associates in 2006 after working in the public sector primarily as a Senior Associate, Forensic Analyst and Consultant. Autumn is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting and in 2006 completed her Master’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. In 1997, she began working as a Professional Assistant in Lubbock while attending TTU and gained valuable knowledge which helped her graduate and provided great experience that she has been able to apply to her consulting career.
Josh
Josh is no stranger to the bookkeeping world. His parents, Jack and Theresa, owned and operated a Bookkeeping and Tax office in San Marcos for over 25 years. Throughout that time, Josh received first hand knowledge of how the business worked. Josh attended Texas Tech University focusing his studies in Management Information Systems. He began working for a cotton company in 1995 while attending Texas Tech which required a focus on business management and domestic/international finance. In 2001, he married his college sweetheart, Autumn, and moved back to Kyle where he continued in the cotton industry until November of 2008. Since then he has chosen to follow in his parents footsteps and assist Autumn in running her business.
